Daisy Bost

Daisy Mae Starnes Smith Bost, 91, of Centerclair Nursing Home and formerly of East First Avenue, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Centerclair. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel conducted by the Rev. Tim Miller. Burial will follow at Organ Lutheran Church Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. Terrell Long. Mrs. Bost was born in Cabarrus County on July 28, 1916, was a former cotton mill worker and a member of Organ Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Bost; and a son, Lester Smith Jr. Surviving are a granddaughter, Debbie Leazer, who she made her home with for the past 15 years; a sister, Rosie Pressley of York, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and at other times at the home of the granddaughter, 8700 Linwood-Southmont Road, Lexington.
