Dale Beck

Lawrence Dale Beck, 77, of Lexington passed away December 6, 2021 at his residence.

Dale was born April 10, 1944 in Davidson County to the late Lawrence Bruce Beck and Verna Crotts Beck. He owned and operated L. Dale Beck Construction for many years. Dale was an avid deer hunter and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ where he was very active with the church building projects. Dale also enjoyed spending time at White Lake with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Beck.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sarah Sharpe Beck of the home; daughters, Jody Futrell (Jimmy) and Jennifer Anderson (John), both of Lexington; his brother, Frank Beck (Mark) of Florida; and sister, Laura Johnson (Howard) of Lexington; and 3 grandchildren, Hayley Anderson, and Alyssa and Ashlyn Futrell.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ with Reverend William Sowers officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service in the cemetery.
