Allen Dale Sluder, 65 of Virgie Grubb Lane, Lexington passed away Tuesday at Forsyth Medical Center after an illness of ten months. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
Mr. Sluder was born in Davidson County on March 7, 1948 to Alvin Deward Sluder and Clara Glasgow Sluder. He was owner and operator of Welcome Seamless Gutters and was a member of Mount Zion Wesleyan Church. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Owens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Grubb Sluder of the home, sons, Kevin Sluder (Angela) of Lexington and Allen Sluder (Gina) of Thomasville, grandchildren, Easton, Emerson, Dalton and Ashlyn Sluder who he adored. His brothers, Darrell Sluder, Sr.(Libby), Autry Sluder (Dot), Donnie Sluder (Gail) all of Thomasville, sister Patty Hulin (Tom) of Thomasville and two special nieces, Savannah Grubb and Madison Grubb both of Lexington.
