"Dallis" Byron Stanley

Dallas “Dallis” Byron Stanley, age 63 of South NC Highway 150, Linwood passed away Wednesday (February 24, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday (March 1, 2010) at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. David Lyles and Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. “Dallis” as he was known, was born in Ashe County, NC August 15, 1946 to Jonah Stanley and Fae Carpenter Stanley. He was a former employee of Lexington Metal Fabricators, a member of Grace Baptist Church and served honorable in the US Marine Corp. during Veitnam War. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Elvis Miller. Surviving are: wife, Judy Cope Stanley of the home, one daughter, Robin Champion of Linwood; his Mother, Fae C. Stanley Miller of Independence, VA; two sisters, Betty Graham of Galax, VA and Bonnie Quesenberry of Dugspar, VA; three brothers, Bobby Miller of Linwood, Tommy and Kenny Miller of Galax, VA.
