Dalton Ray Burleson, 35, of Davidson County, passed away on June 22, 2026, and went to be with his Lord and Savior.
Born on February 9, 1991, in Davidson County, Dalton was the beloved son of Barry Wayne Burleson and Cindy Delane Myers Burleson.
Dalton was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He was known for always putting family first, especially his precious daughter, Nora, whom he loved beyond measure. Those who knew Dalton will remember his kind heart and loyalty to the people he loved.
Dalton proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years. During his military service, he spent a year and a half deployed in combat operations in Afghanistan. His service reflected his courage, commitment, and love for his nation.
Outside of his military service and family life, Dalton was an avid sports fan. He had a passion for sports and found joy in sharing them with others.
Dalton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade Burleson and Mildred McLean, and Harold and Carolyn Myers.
Left to cherish his memory are his precious daughter, Nora Burleson; his parents, Barry Wayne Burleson and Cindy Delane Myers Burleson; his sister, Meagan Burleson; his brother, Chris Burleson; his aunts, Gail Roseberry (Peyton), Janie Miller (Jeff), Martha Hill, and Ruth Burleson; his uncles, Joe Burleson and Edward Burleson; and numerous beloved cousins and friends.
A funeral service to honor Dalton's life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home starting at 4:00pm. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00am July 2, 2026 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
