Damon Ray Lewis, 74, of NC Highway 47, died Thursday October 24, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem North Carolina after an illness of four months.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday October 30, 2013, at Jersey Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Wayne Cash officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mr. Lewis was born February 20, 1939, in Pardee Virginia, to Dewey Lewis and Nita Hall Lewis. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was owner/operator of Lewis TV and Satellite and provided repair for Lexington for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife Debbie Fulk Lewis of the home; four sons, Ted Lewis, John Lewis and wife Angela both of Lexington, Dan Lewis and wife Tammy of Maryland and Buddy Mayton and wife Chantel of Winston Salem; one daughter, Susan Lewis of Lexington; two brothers, Ronnie Lewis of Colorado, and John Lewis of Tennessee; five sisters, Claire Dyke of Kentucky, Dorothy Markis and husband Van of Washington DC, Sandra Eastridge, Brenda Keller and Lisa Lewis all of Tennessee; and six grandchildren, Michael Lewis, Alex Lewis, Andrew Mayton, Jordon Mayton, Rachel Harris and Cody Billheimer.
