Daniel Ray Carlton

Daniel Ray Carlton, of Davidson County, age 53, passed away on September 23, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on September 27, 2024, at Denton Wesleyan Church, with visitation an hour prior starting at 1:00 PM. Following the service, there will be a private committal.

He was born on November 22, 1970, in Lexington, to the late Norman Ray Carlton and Julia Claire Stevens Carlton.
A true sports enthusiast, Daniel was a passionate fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Georgia Tech, the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Toronto Blue Jays. He also loved high school football and followed his alma mater, Lexington Senior High, closely. He found joy in playing video games and had a love for gambling, particularly Texas Hold'em and scratch-off tickets. His spirited nature and sense of humor made him a cherished friend to many.

Daniel was a devoted father to his children, Dillon and Madison Carlton, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sisters: Jeanna Carlton of Lexington and Robin Leonard (Maurice Lewis) of Raleigh; brother Shannon Cross (Sharon) of Raleigh, his second mother Lynn Carlton, and Robbin Briley, the mother of his children.

Daniel will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His vibrant spirit and love for life will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
