Daniel "Dan" Ritchie Coney Jr.

Daniel “Dan” Ritchie Coney Jr. age 84 passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Welcome with Rev. Mark Blair. Burial will follow to the church cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Dan was born September 11, 1929 in Lycoming County PA to Daniel Ritchie Coney Sr. and Geneva Barker Coney. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome and retired with GTE. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his brother; Elmer C. Coney. Surviving are his wife of 58 years Pauline Verla Kurtz Coney of the home, sons; Daniel Ritchie Coney III (Vanessa) and Edwin Paul Coney (Bonnie) of Lexington, grandchildren; Daniel IV, Elizabeth Blair (Jared), Ashley Albertson (Ray), Amanda, Heather and Bryon, great grandchildren; Violet and Annabell, sister; Florence Hecknauer of Muncy, PA.
