Daniel L. Hutchinson

Daniel "Dan" L. Hutchinson, 64, of Brightmoor Nursing Home in Salisbury, died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the nursing home. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Psalm 91 Church by the Rev. Max Shoaf. Mr. Hutchinson was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Marion, Ohio, to Alvin and Doris Hutchinson. He was a former history teacher in the Davidson County Schools, where he also coached basketball and golf and was an assistant football coach and former athletic director. He also attended Piedmont Bible College and Guilford College. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his sons, Todd Hutchinson of High Point and Brian Hutchinson of Lexington; one grandson, Zack Hutchinson; and one brother, Wayne Hutchinson of Lake Stephens, Wash. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Music Ministry at Psalm 91 Church, 930 Michael Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
