Danny (Dan) Marshall Hosey

Danny (Dan) Marshall Hosey, age 79, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday morning, August 13, 2020 at the Woltz Hospice Home.

A celebration of life service is planned to honor his life and will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Zypole and Reverend Daniel Myers officiating. This service will be streamed live at:

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be limits to follow, as no more than 50 people may be in the building at one time, and those attending the service are asked to practice social distancing and to wear a mask.

Dan was born in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania on December 20, 1940 to Paul Leroy Hosey and Hannah Pauline Logan Hosey. He retired as a manager for Owens Illinois. Dan had a passion for classic cars like his ‘57 Chevy truck and his ’67 Camaro, with which he and Sally enjoyed several cruise-ins and car shows. He enjoyed physical fitness and was most at home in his garage.

Mr. Hosey was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Paula Kay Hosey.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sally Craig Hosey of the home; daughters, Leigh Ann Beck (Frankie) of VA; Elizabeth Daneen Marley (Dave) of Winston-Salem; and one brother, David Lee Hosey of PA; five grandchildren Christopher Brandon Smith, Kassie Leigh Mize (Shawn), Jacob Daniel Beck and fiancé, Heather, Logan David Marley and Mace Jason Marley; three great-grandchildren, Casey and Ruby Mize and Lainey Adams Beck.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mt. Valley Hospice, Yadkinville Office.

Davidson Funeral Home is serving the Hosey family.
