Danny Furr

Danny Lee Furr, age 77, of Lexington, passed away on November 13, 2025, at Thomasville Medical Center.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Koontz officiating.

Danny was born on February 21, 1948, in Davidson County to the late Horace and Girleta Crotts Furr. He worked for many years as a dedicated diesel mechanic with S&R Enterprises, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skill. Danny was also a faithful member of West Side Baptist Church, where he cherished fellowship with his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Barber.

Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Sarah Hill Furr; his son, Ken Love and wife Lori; his brother-in-law, Alen Hill; two grandchildren, Brittany Young and husband Tanner, and Jared Love; as well as two great-grandchildren, Aubree Young and Parker Young, and his nephews, Jodey, Bobby, and Scotty, and his favorite niece, Jenny

Danny will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to his family, his great sense of humor, and the kindness he shared with everyone who knew him.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Danny's honor may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 150 Charles Ave., Lexington, NC 27295.
