Danny Lacy Grubb

Danny Lacy Grubb, 58, of Robert Beck Road, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Allan Van Meter. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Grubb was born Jan. 17, 1948, in Davidson County to Lacy Grubb and Dorothy Edwards Grubb. He was a retired employee of PPG, and at his church was a member of the United Methodist Men and the Reid Lookabill Sunday School Class and served on the administrative council in several capacities. He was an Army veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam. Surviving are his wife, Nellwynn Hedrick Grubb of the home; a daughter, Tia Grubb Hill and her husband, Jon, of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Laci and Landon Hill. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington and other times at the residence.
