Darius Elray Harper

Darius Elray Harper, 71, of Lexington passed away at his home Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

A memorial service will be held 4 pm Wednesday, December 8, at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Harper was born September 18, 1950, in Davidson County to Elray Harper and Ruth Ann Poston Harper. He played music all his life and was the lead guitarist of the local band Bad Habit for over 15 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Harper.

Surviving are two sons, Chris Harper of Lexington and Glenn Harper of Salisbury; and special companion, Venus Diane Ball Yarbrough of the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Davidson County Animal Shelter 490 Glendale Road
