Darla Forrest

Darla Kay Massey Forrest, 71, of S. NC Highway 150, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at High Point Regional Hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the funeral home. Mrs. Forrest was born February 7, 1940, in Davidson County, to John Boyd Massey and Robbie Myers Massey. She was a retired secretary for the Davidson County School System. Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Shuford Forrest of the home; sons, Chris Forrest and Mitchell Forrest and wife, Shelly, all of Lexington; daughter, Tammie Motley of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Justin Motley, Joshua Motley, and Casey Forrest, all of Lexington; and sisters, Fonda Langley and Darlene Owens, both of Lexington. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
