Darlene Kinney Holmes

Darlene Kinney Holmes, age 78 of Cloverdale Road, Lexington passed away at her home Friday, December 18, 2015. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 21, 2015 at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brian Alexander officiating. The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall following the service Darlene was born in Guilford County June 23, 1937 to Ivan Delmar and Mary Gobble Kinney. She was a retired customer service representative with Lexington State Bank and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommie Wade Holmes in 2013; daughter Bridget Holmes; her sons, Forrest and Roger Holmes and brothers, Jimmy, Rodney, Allen and Barry Kinney. Surviving are her grandchildren, Stephanie Owen Serritella of Baltimore Maryland, Christine Owen of Thomasville, and Robert Owen, Jr. of Lexington; great-grandchild, Angel Marie Klein; brother-in-law, Paul Holmes and wife Ronda of Lexington; son-in-law, Robert Owen, Sr. of Lexington and deceased daughters fiancée Larry Sidden of North Wilkesboro.
