Darrell Reavis

Darrell Garnett Reavis, 65, of Billy Smith Road, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Freedom Baptist Church by Preacher Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home. Darrell was born in Davidson County on May 2, 1945, to Roger Lee Reavis and Ruth Louya Reavis. He was a graduate of Ashemore Business College and attended Davidson County Community College. He was a retired employee of Shelby Johnson Trucking. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Karen Baker Reavis of the home; one daughter, Kathy Reavis Epperson and husband Jeremy of Greensboro; one son, Brandon Reavis and fiancé Candace of Lexington; three grandchildren, Austin Reavis, Ana Ruth Epperson and Annie Giles; two sisters, Robbie Brooks and husband Jeff of Welcome and Debbie Reavis of Winston-Salem; and one brother, Ted Reavis of Kernersville.
