Darren Strawn Nance

Mr. Darren Strawn Nance, age 62, of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021 at Hospice of Davidson County (Hinkle Hospice House).  Darren was born January 15, 1959, in Union County, NC. He was one of three sons of the late Harvey Strawn Nance and Myra Parker Nance.

In addition to his parents, he is now reunited with his brother Terry "Michael" Nance, as well as other family members and friends.

Darren leaves behind a Daughter, Melissa Nance Hilton and a Son, James (Jamie) Darren Nance; a Brother, Rodney Lynn Nance and two Grandsons, Caleb and Grant Tarlton, All of Monroe, NC.

Darren loved his kids and grandsons dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He was a very talented model car and truck builder. He leaves behind many "truck buddies" that he respected and loved dearly.

Darren's wishes were to be cremated. There will be no formal service at this time.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held at the home of his Daughter, Melissa,

2813 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28110 on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

This will be held mostly outdoors and masks will be required to enter the home.

Guests will be able to add their handwritten Memories of Darren in a "Memories" keepsake book at the Visitation. These Memories from family and friends would be greatly appreciated.
