David Berrier

David Carson Berrier, 81, of William Lane, died Friday, January 18, 2008, at Lexington Health Care following a six month illness. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, at National Cemetery in Salisbury with military graveside rites by the Chaplain. Mr. Berrier was born February 23, 1926, in Davidson County to Lewis Monroe Berrier and Martha Seable Tate Berrier. He was a retired machinist from All – Power Mfd. Company of Santa Fe Springs, California. He served his country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He is a member of American Legion Post 8. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, McCoy Berrier. Surviving are his wife, Martha Gail Boaz Berrier of the home; son, Michael David Berrier and wife, Kathy, of Houston, Tx.; daughters, Sherry Berrier Phillips and husband, Ray, of Parkton, and Robin Berrier of N.B.; grandchildren, Brian McGugan and Kim Keehn and husband, Rich; three great grandchildren; and sisters, Faith Kirkman and Louise Michael and husband, Jack, all of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.
