David Bruce Bivens Jr.

David Bruce Bivens Jr., age 38, of Lexington, died suddenly Thursday February 10, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Messer officiating. Burial will follow at New Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Davidson funeral Home. Mr. Bivens was born January 1, 1973 in Davidson County to David Bruce Bivens Sr. and Janice Todd Bivens. He was of the Baptist faith and employed with Creative Carpets of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are a companion Tina Darnell of the home, his father of Lexington, two sisters; Penny Bivens and her companion Larry Smith, and Jennifer Littleton and husband Jason, both of Lexington, two nieces; Hannah Cannady and Amelia Combs both of Lexington, and one nephew, Preston Littleton of Lexington. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of the father on Watkins Road.
