David Solomon Blevins

David Solomon Blevins Jr., 69, of Cotton Grove Road; passed away Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Near Calvary Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev’s Herman Powell and Jeff Walser. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home. David was born November 9, 1945 in Johnson City Tenn. to David Solomon Blevins Sr. and Evelyn Mae Miller Blevins. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of Near Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Roger Dale Blevins, Billy Joe Blevins and Philip Blevins and one sister Donna Sue Blevins. David is survived by his wife Patsy Ann Grindstaff Blevins of the home; his mother of Lexington; sons, Billy Joe Blevins and David Edward Blevins of Lexington; his daughter Tammy Lynn Beck (Brian) of Lexington; brothers, Tommy Lee Blevins (Rosemary) of Lexington, Vernon Lee Blevins of Detroit MI ;sisters, Mary Green (Shelby) of Erwin Tenn and Patsy of Lexington; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
