David Leon Carrick

David Leon Carrick, 79 of NC Hwy 47, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center.

A Drive-In service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, February 3 at Mountain View Baptist Church, by the Rev. Tim Miller. Burial will follow in church cemetery.

Mr. Carrick was born September 18, 1941 in Davidson County to Orlen and Sadie Bean Carrick. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday School for many years. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and attending cruise-ins. He retired from Jeld-Wen and loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events. His brothers, Jimmy Carrick and Charlie Carrick, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Snider Carrick of the home; his daughter, Wendy Skotthy and husband, Jim, of Lexington; his son, Kevin Carrick and wife, Danielle, of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Carter Skotthy and wife, Emily, Colby Skotthy, Casey Carrick, Jack Carrick, and Ella Carrick.
