David Lee Elliott

David Lee Elliott, 61, of Lexington was greeted by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as he made his transition to life everlasting on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm prior to the service at the Church.

Mr. Elliott was born in Davidson County on May 18, 1959. He faithfully committed forty three years of service to Davidson County; retiring as the department head of the fleet management department. Mr . Elliott was a member of Madison Heights Free Will Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Elliott Bost.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Karen Lopp Elliott of the home; his two sons, Shane Hunt (Melissa) of High Point, and Davidson County Commissioner, Chris Elliott (Shannon) of Lexington; a brother, Kenny Bost (Nikkie) of Winston Salem; four precious grandchildren, Gavin Byerly, Marley Hunt, Mason Elliott, and Riley Elliott; six nieces and nephews, Allen, Farrah, Taryn, Seth, Haley, Kinsley and Keelyn; a brother-in-law, Michael Lopp; and a host of extended family and close friends that he loved so dearly.

Memorials may be directed to Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church at 214 Andrew Sink Rd, Lexington, NC 27295.
