David Hibbett

David Hibbett Sr., 81, of Glenn Oaks Drive in Lexington, died Thursday May 11, 2017 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.  A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, with Bishop Jim McDonald officiating services.  Burial will follow at Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery in Thomasville North Carolina. The family will receive friend at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.  Mr. Hibbett was born November 20, 1935 in Barren County Kentucky to Roy Milton Hibbett  and Gladys Marie Emberton Hibbett. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, the owner of Hibbett Interiors and was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, Paul Hibbett and Roy Hibbett.   Surviving is his wife Carol Rebecca Craft Hibbett of the home; three sons, Rick Hibbett (Emi), David Hibbett Jr. (Kim), both of Lexington, and Tim Hibbett (Teresa) of Thomasville; one daughter, Cathy Syphers (Scott) of Raleigh; one brother, Joe Hibbett, of Thomasville; two sisters, Sue Byrd and Carolyn Deckard  (Leroy), both of Kentucky; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.      Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
