David Ciscero Hunt, 92, of Burkhart Road, died Sunday, November 23, 2008, at his home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by Preacher Clyde Akers and the Rev. Thomas A. Hicks. Burial will follow in Grace Missionary Alliance Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hunt was born August 20, 1916, in Davidson County, to Grover Early Hunt and Minnie Eulala Kepley Hunt. He was a former materials handler at G.W. Smith Lumber Company and married to Loraine Robertson Hunt, who preceded him in death February 25, 2001. Also preceding him in death were his parents; a son, James Robert Hunt; two brothers, Grover Hunt Jr., and James Alexander Hunt; and a sister, Virginia Ashby.
Surviving are two sons, David Carlton Hunt and wife, Debbie, of Chattsworth, Ca., and Alvis Paul Hunt and wife, Cyndy, of Stephenson Ranch, Ca.; four daughters, Priscilla Lynette Beck and husband, James, of Lexington, Renea Hunt, Connie Faye Watts, both of the home, and Sandra Scully and husband, Vin, of California; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Surratt of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
