David Lee Kiger

David Lee Kiger. 76 of Arden Rd. Lexington passed away Friday May 1st at Hinkle Hospice Home after one year of declining health. A funeral service will be Monday May 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lexington Church God with Revs. Rodney Merrill, Wayne Miller, and E.L. Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites by Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Mr. Kiger was born in Davie County on March 3, 1939 to John Wesley Kiger and Adelia Stewart Kiger. He was retired Supervisor for Stanley Furniture and attended DCCC. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He loved being a member of Lexington Church of God and served his church as Sunday school superintendent, Christian Education Board Member and on the Pastors Council. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Odell, Clarence, Otis, James and Harold Kiger and sisters, Hazel Martin, Ethel Brinkley and Helen Whittington. Surviving are his loving wife Lila Hollman Kiger whom he married on July 31, 1961 of the home and son Rev. Todd Kiger and Laura Stacey of Lexington, grandchildren, Courtney Kiger, Caleb Kiger and Allysa Stacey, brother John Thomas Kiger and wife Wanda of Lexington and sister Margie Sears of Lexington.
