David Clifford King, 72, of Meadow Glen Lane, Winston-Salem, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Union Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ken Harris and the Rev. Harold Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with a military burial honor guard.
He was a truck driver for Baker Trucking Co. Mr. King was a 20-year Marine veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was born in Rockingham County to Cecil and Dorothy King, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne King.
Mr. King is survived by his wife, Edna Lee Seagraves King, of the home; three sons, Thomas King and wife Josephine of Kernersville, Gary Lee King of the home and Ronald King and wife Nancy of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Phillip King; and five grandchildren, Spencer King of Salt Lake City, Utah; Dylan Curtis King of Ogden, Utah; Joseph King of Kernersville; and Shawn King and Megan King of Jacksonville, Fla.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday, May 17, at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.
