David Lee Kinney

David Lee Kinney, 88, of Locust Drive in Lexington, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, at his home.

Mr. Kinney was born June 18, 1934, in Davidson County to Albert Kinney and Allie Rose Crotts Kinney. David was owner-operator of Kinney’s Insulation and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerry Kinney and Ronald Kinney;  one sister, Lorene James; and one grandchild Canda Faye Kinney.

A private memorial service was held on January 14, 2023.

Surviving is wife, Jeweldean Hughes Kinney, of the home; one son, Dwayne Kinney Sr. (Liz) of Lexington; one daughter, Dr. Sonja Parks (Lee) of Lexington; one brother, Jimmy Kinney (Debbie) of Lexington; four sisters, Shirley Lamb, Laura Kepley, Linda Montgomery (Gary) and Alice Dennis (Steve) all of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Dwayne David Kinney Jr., J.D. of Atlanta, Matthew Everette Kinney, Austin Lee Parks of Asheville, and Aiden Lee Parks and his four-legged companion, Buddy.
