David Leonard, Jr.

  David Leonard Jr. 82, of Old Hwy 64, died Saturday June 10, 2017, at his home.   A graveside service with military rites will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at National Cemetery in Salisbury by the Rev. David Langley.   Mr. Leonard was born July 28, 1934 in Davidson County to David Leonard Sr. and Lora Smith Leonard. He retired from Roadway Trucking and was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark Leonard; one brother, William Leonard; and three sisters, Barbara Hailey, Mary Leonard and Elva Ward.   He is survived by his wife, Nancy Leonard of the home; two sons, Tim Leonard and wife Tracie of Tyro and Dallas Leonard of Lexington; two daughters Cindy Wooten of the home, and Candy Bailey of Lexington; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital 1 Medical Center Blvd. Winston Salem, NC 27157
