David Lewis Everhart, age 86, of North County Home Road, Lexington passed away Saturday (November 13, 2010) at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at Grace Alliance Church on Tuesday (November 16, 2010) at 2:00 pm with Rev. Richard D. Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday and other times at the home. Lewis was born, April 13, 1924 in Davidson County, NC to David Henry Everhart and Pearl Beck Everhart. He was the retired owner of Lewis Everhart and Son construction. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are: his wife, Peggy Nell Dancy Everhart of the home; three sons, Larry Everhart and wife Ann, Alvin Everhart and fiancé Zoobie, and Michael Lewis Everhart and wife Jamie, all of Lexington; one daughter, Jo Lynn Tysinger and husband Jim of Lexington; five brothers, Aaron Everhart and wife Mary, Joe Everhart and wife Ruth, Blake Everhart and wife Doris, Phillip Everhart and wife Topsy, and Beck Everhart, all of Lexington; three sisters, Dot Haywood, Marilyn Call and husband Cecil, and Rachel Cooper and husband Gerald, all of Lexington; five grandchildren, Travis Tysinger and wife Tanzy, Dustin Tysinger and wife Kristen, Kayla Everhart Smith and husband Daniel, Braden Everhart, and Xandria Everhart, all of Lexington; and four great grandchildren, Payton Tysinger, Andrew Tysinger, Dylan Tysinger, Eli Tysinger, all of Lexington; and two step great grandchildren, Spring Lane, and Zach Koontz, of Lexington.
