David Ward Mcclure

David Ward McClure, age 42, of West 7th Avenue, Lexington passed away Sunday at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem after a 3 month illness. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday (October 17, 2014) at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church with Revs. Frankie Matthews and Brian Workman officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. David was born January 22, 1972 in Commerce, Georgia to Fred and Jan McClure. He was a graduate of Sheets Memorial Christian School Class of 1990 and a former volunteer with Triangle Fire Department and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother Jan McClure, January 28, 2003. David is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hall McClure of the home; son, Jake McClure of Lexington; daughters, Audree McClure and Nicole Gooch both of Winston Salem; step-daughter, Aliyah Hall of Lexington; father and step-mother, Fred and Kay McClure of Lexington; sister, Shonda White of Thomasville; aunt and uncle, Mary and James Monson of Lexington.
