David Elton Owens

April 30, 1953 — November 2, 2022

David Elton Owens, 69, of Lexington, passed away November 2, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be at 4:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Langley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Owens was born April 30, 1953, in Davidson County, to Bobby Edward Owens and Margaret Cross Owens and was of the Baptist faith.  David was a veteran having served in the US Navy and was retired with over 40 years of service with PPG. David loved to ride his Harley and work on cars and trucks, and also loved to work on guns. However, most of time you could find him in front of his TV watching his favorite movies. David was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are: his brother, Tony Owens, and his sister, Bobbi Coble and husband Chris,  his stepdaughter Amber Gragg and husband Jeff, all of Lexington; also surviving are his nephew, Seth Coble, three grandchildren, Bradley Rhodes, Haven Gragg, Rabon Gragg, and cousins, Kim Cross and wife Debbie, Jill King and husband Jeff.  He also had his beloved cats, ChiChi and Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
