David Richard "Richie" Rabon

David Richard “Richie” Rabon, age 46 of Rabon Trail, Linwood passed away Tuesday afternoon at Forsyth Medical Center after declining health.   A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. David Wooten officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Baptist Cemetery with military honors by Davidson County Honor Guard.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday and at other times at the home of his mother.   Richie was born in Rowan County, August 29, 1966 to Doctor Richard “D.R.” Rabon and Mildred Ribelin Rabon. He served in the US Marines and a former employee of PPG.   Richie is survived by; his son, Nathaniel Rabon of the home; his mother, Mildred Ribelin Rabon of Linwood; step-daughter; Krysta Sink of Linwood; sister, Darlene “Renay” Holbrook and husband Randy of Linwood; brother, Dennis Rabon and wife Margaret of Linwood; paternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Trexler Rabon of Salisbury; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
