David Shipton

David Lee Shipton, 64, of Yadkin College Road, died Sunday, July 3, 2011. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Rolling Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Sechrest. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Shipton was born February 10, 1947, in Davidson County, to George Washington Shipton and Bessie Elizabeth Hill Shipton. He was a Sales Representative for Western Southern Finance. Surviving are his wife, Shelia Ann Wrenn Shipton of the home; son, Eric Shipton and David’s favorite daughter-in-law, Teresa; daughters, Tammy Frank and husband, Dudley, and Mitze Segers and husband, Scott, all of Lexington; and grandchildren, Mary Beth Frank, Nicole Segers, Shane Willard, Brian Frank and Matthew Segers.
