David Whitcomb Stroud

David Whitcomb Stroud, 63, of Rabbit Ridge Drive, died Monday, January 19, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tracy Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Stroud was born December 30, 1951, in Davidson County, to Paul Whitcomb Stroud and Melva Jean Aaron Stroud. He was employed with Leggett and Platt and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Stroud enjoyed hunting and was a member of the North Carolina Hunting Club and National Rifle Association. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Carter Stroud of the home; sister, Paula Kinney of Texas; brothers in law, Chuck Lineberry, Michael Carter, Lynn Carter, and Steve Hall; sisters in law, Cathy Lineberry, Crystal Carter, Cathy Carter, and Joyce Hall; and many nieces and nephews.
