David Tetter, 82, a resident of Lexington, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home.
David was born March 28, 1941, in Davidson County to Ray Tetter and Marie Lanning Tetter. He served in the United States Army and later retired from Lexington Furniture, where he worked as machine room supervisor. David was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church, where he also played bass guitar. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing with friends and visiting shut-ins. He was a family man of great character. He was always working outside cutting trees and taking care of the garden. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and setting the example for his family to look up to. Dave always had a sense of humor, and you were sure to smile around him. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 53 years, Jane Tetter.
Visitation with family and friends will be held from 2 to 3pm prior to the service.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, March 13th at Yadkin Baptist Church with David Ayers and Jimmy Greene officiating the service with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
David is survived by daughters, Lisa Miller (Johnny) of Lexington, Tonya Smith (Dean) of Jonesville, and Kari Wilson of Lexington; grandchildren, Danielle Pruett, Patrick Miller, Anderson Wilson (Abigail Cooper), Dawson Smith, Anna Wilson (Jorge Rodriguez), Lora Wilson, and Emma Smith; three great-grandchildren, Kenzly and Slaten Pruett and Violet Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Yadkin Baptist Church, 150 Yadkin Baptist Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
