David Thurman Caudle, 71, of North NC Highway 150, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mr. Caudle was born March 19, 1941, in Wilkes County, to Charles Thurman Caudle and Maggie Money Caudle. He was a case cutter at RJ Reynolds and a member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra Smith Caudle of the home; son, David Caudle of Lexington; daughter, Donna Stone and husband, Wallace, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Victoria Harris and husband, Jason, Mitch Caudle, Nicholas Jackson, and Cameron Stone, all of Lexington; great-grandchild, Bailee Bolhuis; and brothers, Calvin "Peanut" Caudle and wife, Nancy, of Lexington and Alvis Caudle of Yadkinville.
