David Thomas Todd

It is with deep sorrow that the family of David Thomas Todd announces his peaceful passing on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at the age of 87. David was born on Friday, July 16th, 1937, in North Carolina and resided in Winston-Salem, NC. David dedicated his professional life as an engineer with Novant Health in Winston-Salem, where he worked tirelessly and left a lasting impact on his colleagues. Outside of his work, he found joy in farming and cherished every moment spent with his family. Especially fishing at Hatteras Island and Surf City. He is lovingly remembered and survived by his sons: Barton Todd, Greg Todd, and Shawn Todd and his wife Michelle as he was her best friend. David was a proud grandfather to Ridge Todd and his wife Hannah, and great-grandchildren Noah Wilson, Logan Swaim, and Kinsley Todd. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Todd, his father, Claude Todd, his mother, Ophelia Victoria Todd, his daughter-in-law, Sandy Todd, a granddaughter, Tara Wilson, and a grandson, Brian Todd. The family will receive friends and family on February 4th, 2025, from 5 to 6 pm at Hopewell Moravian Church, where a memorial service will follow at 6 pm. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements for David Thomas Todd have been entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home. David's gentle spirit and enduring love for those around him will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hopewell Moravian Church in memory of David. David will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
