David Carl "DC" Yarborough Jr., 77, of Fairview Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Lexington Health Care after one year of declining health.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Presbyterian Church, where he was a charter member, by the Rev. Bea Edwards Copeland. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Yarborough was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Davidson County to David Carl Yarborough Sr. and Edna Florence Shillinglaw Yarborough. He was owner/operator of D.C. Yarborough Builders.
Surviving are his wife, Fay Ann Wrenn Yarborough of the home; one son, Cheff Yarborough and wife, Leanne, of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Chris Yarborough and his fiancee, Alicia LaPaglia of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Gilbert Yarborough and his wife, Margaret, and Jerry Yarborough and his wife, Cecilia, all of Lexington; and one sister, Alice Ann Brinkley and her husband, Webb, of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the residence.
