Dawne Stewart Patterson

Dawne Stewart Patterson, 76, of Davidson County, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Glen Gunter officiating.

A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at Lexington City Cemetery.

Dawne was born on March 8, 1948, in Davidson County, to the late William Harry Stewart and Alberta Graves Stewart. She was the first secretary for the Lexington Fire Department and loved spending many years taking care of everything and everyone. Dawne enjoyed gardening, bird watching, decorating, and most importantly spending time with her family.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family fiercely, and would go above and beyond for them. Her tenacious spirit will be remembered and honored throughout the lives of her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, John Patterson of the home; daughter Jennifer Jackson of Lexington; sons, Matthew Patterson of Lexington, and John Brian Patterson (Anna) of Lexington; brother, William Craig Stewart (Connie); sisters-in-law, Janet Manning, and Karen LaMonica (Frank); grandchildren, Sean Marshall Kenneth Jackson, Jacob Alexander Jackson, Emma Leigh Ann Jackson, John Lucas Patterson, Mallory Drew Patterson, and Derek Jay Patterson.
