Dean Allred

Hansel “Dean” Allred, 64, a resident of Lexington, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Davidson County on September 6, 1957 to Hansel Lee and Georgia Frazier Allred. Dean worked for Car Quest for many years. On December 16, 1989 he married Phyllis Kay Hedrick. He was a loving, gentle, and wonderful person. Dean will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother and a son-in-law, Dave Wilcox.

Per Dean’s wishes, there will not be a formal service. Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of almost 32 years, Phyllis Allred, of the home; his father, Hansel Lee Allred of High Point; sons, Michael Allred (Nicole) of Thomasville and Keith Burkhart (Crystal) of Lexington; daughter, Jennifer Wilcox of Winston-Salem; a sister, Kim Milan (Roger) of Lexington; granddaughters, Madison, Ella, Nola, and Emersyn; and many other family members and friends.
