Dean Brooks

Mr. Charles Dean Brooks, 53, of Ridgewood Drive, died Saturday, May 7 at the Hinkle Hospice House after an illness of several months. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 10 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Brooks was born March 17, 1958 in Stokes County to Thelma Jean Hall Brooks. He was the owner and operator of Hedrick’s Grove Café and self employed as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Pugh Brooks of the home; his daughter, Nina Brooks, also of the home; his brothers, Steve Brooks and Terry Brooks, both of Lexington; and his sister, Robin Rominger, and husband, Ronnie, also of Lexington.
