Dean Allan "Skeeno" Byrd

Dean Allan "Skeeno" Byrd, age 62, of Lexington passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home.

An informal gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home from 3-6 pm.

He was born October 1, 1956 in Guilford County to William Elliott Byrd and Eleanor Mae Richardson Byrd. He had worked as a supervisor with IOA Healthcare Furniture, Inc. His mother, a grandson, Gavin Taelor Ivey and a brother, Wayne Byrd all preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Zelle Byrd “Cindi” of the home; his sons: Michael Allen Rivers of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Erik Nathanael Rivers, Sr. of Thomasville and Jonathan Elliott Byrd of Thomasville; his daughters: Erica Leigh Byrd of Thomasville, Kendra Renee Levy, DVM of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Christeena Joyce Gallimore of Denton; His father, William Elliot Byrd of Florida; his brothers: Kerby Byrd of Florida and Jerry Byrd of High Point; a sister, Gwen Lackey of High Point; an uncle, Gerald Byrd; his sons in law, James Michael Levy and Gary Lee Gallimore, Sr; and his grandchildren: Gary Lee Gallimore, Jr., Jacob Michael Gallimore, Madison Leigh Weeks, Erik Nathanael Rivers, II, Xavier Daniel Rivers, Alexander Michael Levy, Ronan James  Levy and Gavin Kenneth Levy, due in November. Also surviving are his fur babies, Daisy Mae Byrd “Munchkin” and Rosie “Gizmo” Byrd.
