Deborah "Debbie" Catherine Stogner

October 16, 1956 — April 21, 2017

Deborah Catherine “Debbie” Stogner of Lexington died on Friday, April 21, after a sudden illness.  A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 26 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Joe Moore officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.  Debbie was born October 16, 1956 in Lexington. She graduated from Central High School and spent the majority of her career as a salesperson for Walker and Associates. Debbie loved cooking, gardening, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. In the early 1960s, her dad recorded a song about her called “Debbie.” The lyrics included the lines “I have a girl, her name is Debbie, she’s a pretty brown-eyed baby.” Even though Paul wrote the song about her when she was a child, the lyrics remain true today. Debbie was a very special and important part of the Stogner family, and she was a close friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.  She is survived by her husband Rodney Tucker of Lexington, parents Paul and Sarah Stogner of Lexington, son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Ellen Gallimore of Winston Salem, grandson Jackson Gallimore of Winston Salem, brother Pete Stogner of Lexington, sister Susan Stogner Paschal of Belews Creek, sister and brother-in-law Diane Stogner McBride and Lee McBride of Reeds, and nieces and nephews Ben Stogner, Abigail Stogner, Olivia Paschal, Jacob McBride, Casey McBride, and Morgan McBride. She is also survived by Eddie Gallimore, Allan Paschal, Lynn Stogner, and many special family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Triad Community Kitchen (3655 Reed Street, Winston Salem, NC 27107) or to Hospice of Davidson County (200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292).
