Della Faye Slone James

Della Faye Slone James, 58, of Lexington, died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mrs. James was born August 8, 1952, in Dickenson County, Va., to Trevis Ray Slone and Ella June Lyall Slone. She was retired from Davidson Senior Services of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Robert Slone and Billy Slone. Surviving are her husband, Ronald James of the home; sons, James Curtis Barton, Ronald James Jr., and Randall James; five grandchildren; brothers, Danny Slone and wife, Isabella, Teddy Slone and wife, Wanda and Jeff Slone: sisters, Sheila Martin, Ella Foster and husband, Dale, Kay Swing and husband, Marty, and Linda Bruff and husband, Eddie.
