Delores Opal Coleman

Delores Opal Matney Coleman, 83, of Oakview Road, died Friday, July 22, 2016, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice Home in Salisbury. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Coleman was born September 7, 1933, in McDowell County, W.V., to Andrew Mae and Myrtle Stanley Bailey. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Brit Coleman; and sons, Roger Dale Carter and Evert Matney Jr. Surviving are daughter, Shirley Edwards Ketchie of Linwood; six grandchildren, Johnny W. Edwards of Lexington Sherri E. Rollins of Salisbury, DJ Carter, Jody Carter and Amy Carter, all of Ohio and Luann Carter Lloyd; eight great-grandchildren, Desiree Edwards, Nicholas Edwards, Darian Edwards, all of Roane Tenn., Jacob and Brady Edwards of Lexington, Maddox Rollins, Xander Rollins of Salisbury and Kimber Lloyd; and two great-grandchildren, Stella Trew and Bryar Trew.
