Dennie Ray Bryant, 70, of Virginia Drive, died Saturday, June 17, 2006, after a sudden illness of one month.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Revs. Jeff Walser and Clarence Ballew.
Mr. Bryant was born April 3, 1936, in Cumberland County to Daniel Bryant and Ethel Dow Bryant. He was a former employee of Hill Spinning, a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lee; a brother, Thomas Bryant; and a sister, Ruby Woodall.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Bryant of the home; two sons, Thomas Lee and David Lee, both of Lexington; one grandchild, Cindy Easter; one great-grandchild, Jamie Easter; two brothers, Charles Bryant and his wife, Hazel, of Clemmons and J.D. Bryant of Stanleyville; and four sisters, Helen Smith of Hope Mills, Kathy Graham of Chapel Hill, Susie Troller of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jewel Johnson of Caldwell, Idaho.
