Dennis Jerry Farmer

Dennis Jerry Farmer, age 70 of Southmont passed away Monday night May 15, 2017 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, May 22, 2017 at Historic Salisbury National Cemetery, 202 Government Road, Salisbury with Rev. Billy Pearson officiating and burial will follow with military honors by Davidson County Honor Guard, and NC National Guard. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday. Dennis was born in Morgantown, West Virginia June 3, 1946 to Raymond Jackson Farmer and Vada Belle Brown Farmer. He was a former self-employed carpenter and a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Jackson Farmer, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Linda Sue Hunt Farmer of the home; sisters, Carolyn Fox and Margaret Reynolds (Tom) of Lexington and Kay Brown of Salisbury; brother, Mack Farmer and companion Faye of Lexington.
