Dennis Ray Keeton, Sr.

Dennis Ray Keeton, Sr., passed away December 31, 2025, in Mocksville. He was 77 years old.

Dennis was born on October 2, 1948, to William Ray Keeton and Doris Stoker Everhart. Dennis grew up in Forsyth County and graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1967. He began his professional career selling cars and later became a finance manager of automotive sales for Parkway, Modern and Flow Automotive Groups.

Dennis was a family man and found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He cherished the annual summer trips to the beach, creating lasting memories with his family. His love for saltwater fishing with his sons was a testament to his appreciation for the outdoors and the bonds of family. He also took pride in his beautifully manicured lawn, a reflection of his attention to detail and care for his home.

Dennis's passions extended to music, where he enjoyed

listening to classic gospel, bluegrass, and the rock from the 80s and 90s.

Along with his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Phillips Keeton; son, Dennis Ray Keeton, Jr. and brother, David Keeton.

Dennis is survived by his son, Kevin Keeton; sister, Carol Keeton; stepbrother, Phillip Everhart; stepsister, Susan Petty and husband Gene; eight grandchildren and four great- grandchildren and sister-in-law, Margaret Keeton.

A memorial service to remember Dennis will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at Parklawn Cemetery, Winston Salem, in the Mausoleum Chapel.
