Der Hong Hanson, 82, of Riverside Drive, died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Guilford Memorial Park with the Dr. Robert G. Cockrell officiating. Inurnment will follow. Following the service a reception will be held at Ichiban Buffet, 3018 High Point Road, Greensboro.
Mr. Hanson was born December 26, 1932, in China. He was a graduate of Grimsley High School; and was owner/operator of Golden Dragon Chinese Take-Out in Greensboro. Mr. Hanson was a member of First Baptist Church of Greensboro.
Surviving are his many close friends, Josefina Damian, Dr. Bob and Cynthia Cockrell of Kernersville, James Morgan and wife Maude of Pleasant Garden, Wency Manalotto and wife Aurora of Florida, Duane Woods and wife Elizabeth of Lexington, Sydney Woods, Carolyn Cote, all of Lexington and Sam Burton and wife Sue and their family; along with the Filipino American Association of the Triad.
