Dewey Lee Oxendine Jr.

Dewey Lee Oxendine Jr, 77 of Snider Avenue in Lexington, passed away Monday at Accordius Health Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday December 28, 2020 at Davidson Funeral Home With Rev. Sammy Allison Jr. officiating services.

Burial will follow at Forest Hill Mememorial Park

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, those planning on attending services should practice social distancing and wear a face covering.

Mr. Oxendine was born October 5, 1943 in Robeson County to Dewey Lee Oxendine Sr. and Corenthia Locklear Oxendine and was a member of Heavenly Sunlight Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters.

Surviving is his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy Joyce Mills Oxendine; two sons, William “Husky” Oxendine and Danny Ray Locklear, both of Lexington; two daughters; Patricia Garris (Timmy) of Woodleaf and Kathy Wright of Hickory; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
